You have little time to see people, you have little time to talk with them, you have no time to think even about yourself, because all the while you have to move, move and move. You are at work, day and night, 24/7. You are in the national capital – Delhi. This is the ‘moving-sketch’ of a metropolitan city. Lifestyle in the capital of India largely differs from the lifestyle in the capital of knowledge.
After the completion of my tenure as a student of department of Journalism and mass Communication on 30th April, 2010, one thing was sure; my dream was going to take me somewhere else from the city where I had been since birth. I always believed in opened eye dreams and closed eye reality.
That was the first celebration us as students of the department of Journalism and Mass communication. Seniors organized fresher party for us when we were the newcomers in the department and some of us were new even for BHU. This can be seen as the starting point of our journey with BHU.
It’s hardly a month ago when I was really concerned about how all the assignments and presentations would be done in that tiny-mini period of time. Nevertheless, I was sure that I would be able to do it all in time but until and unless I got everything done, my anxiety was inevitable. And now when all that has been done in time, I am feeling much relaxed.
These were the days when I first experienced the entire structure of the organizations related to the field I sought my career in. These were the days when I first observed the ins and outs of the work culture of those organizations. These were the days when I first became the part of those organizations. In short, My internship days.
Work, work, and work… This is the time when we are quite busy in many a things which are to be completed before we leave the department. Course is to be completed with all the assignments submitted, all the presentations made and all the examinations, internal or external, taken till the last day of April.
It was a long break from blogging but I m back. Well, after every 10 minutes or so while presenting a TV or Radio program they take a short break then why couldn’t I??? But why didn’t I write in my blog all these days is a question for me too. Maybe I am trying to answer myself by writing this blogpost.
When you think of the best places to visit in one of the world’s ancient cities – Varanasi, you cannot miss a name i.e. Ramnagar Fort. This is one of the must see places in the city, that’s is based on the bank of river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh.
This was the first time when we had an outing with our juniors. Last year, we went on several small trips with our seniors. But due to our new time table or due to indifference towards it from many of us, we never got an opportunity to have this experience with our juniors before this time.
The first week of Feb, 2010 was devoted to Spandan… Spandan, the Youth Festival of Banaras Hind University, which is known to be the most awaited programme for the students of the university every year. Students strive for getting a chance to perform in it, and feel immensely lucky if they got one.
Last week, we got only one holiday which was national holiday – Republic Day. As always on a national festival, we felt much patriotic this time too, and I was filled with such feelings. It’s not that this feeling comes in us just on the occasion. Feelings don’t go out or come into us but always belong to us but on a special occasion a special kind of feeling becomes more prominent.
For me, last week started with Sanskriti and ended too with Sanskriti. On Monday, 18th of Jan, I came to the university with a passionate kind of feeling. Actually, I was going to participate in Sanskriti, the Intra-faculty youth fest of Arts Faculty, BHU. This time I was going to rock the stage with mimicry performance.
The last week had been a little more active than the previous ones of this month. It made an impression of a festive season because almost every day came with a celebrative moment for us. The second week of Jan, 2010 started in a very routine manner but the last 5 days of the week been quite crazy.
It was couple of years back when I first thought of writing blogs…but thanks to my laziness or ignorance, I have always failed to materialize my plans. I don’t know why this time I can’t restrain myself from writing, probably because it is New Year.
